Bio

Jessica Rose is a Canadian-born, London-based award winning Art Director and journalist for magazines and newspapers. Specializing in editorial art direction, voice, and visual storytelling, she loves telling surprising, compelling, and impactful stories in print, digital and beyond. She is formerly the Art Director of Wallpaper*, Tatler, and Toronto Life and at The Sunday Times Magazine and The Times. Her distinct visual language has been featured in magazines and on and off the page: she has told the story of global design brands, from luxury titles to design hotels, of architectural institutions and from the point of view of heritage buildings, and of international designers and artists’ legacies from happenings to exhibitions to publications. She has contributed stories pictures, words and sometimes both to newsstand, independent and editioned publications such as: Elle Collections, Frieze, Luxx, MONACO, The Sunday Times, The Times,  Wallpaper*, Women’s Health and Zeit. Her Toronto Life article Lost and Found won gold at the National Magazine Awards for Best New Writing and is the most-read long form feature in the magazine’s history. She is the author of the debut memoir Just Us Kids in the Dark (HarperCollins) and is represented by Curtis Brown literary agency in London.
